They simply can not stop it. ['aisikl] recorded .In the meantime. between delivering the master of their first 7 inch vinyl and waiting for the records to be pressed. .In the meantime. was recorded while we were discussing plans for the first 12 inch vinyl on SueMi to be released in the autumn of 2004. Everybody seemed to be busy with getting the 7 inch out on time and millions of other things. In the meantime, ['aisikl] quietly went back into their studio. While we were mailing back and forth about the big 12 inch to come, there was never any mentioning of the material you find on this CD. In fact, the entire material on this album came as a free CD-R for every 7 inch sold at the release party in Brussels.
Hearing the material for the first time, it became instantly clear that we had to make it a official release itself. In-between two other records is where this record lives. And it is this .in-between. state that gives the recording the lightness, the calmness, almost carelessness it carries. Never meant to be anything other than a good time of working together and a generous gift for the people as the release party, .In the meantime. is all of this and much more.
Once we decided to release the material as an Audio-CD, ['aisikl] did not stop to amaze and came back with two video productions which you can now find on this extended CD. And all of this while we were actually planning the 12 inch vinyl which is still in the making. On the video .Weakness. you can get a lovely taste of what to expect on the forthcoming album .Analogue Root.. And given the rate at which ['aisikl] develop material, there will be much more to expect.
